International Mother Language Day
On February 21, the International Mother Language Day is observed and celebrated around the globe. The purpose of this day is to promote multilingualism and linguistic and cultural diversity. Unesco announced this observance day in 1999 and ever since, the International Mother Language Day is celebrated each year on February 21.
