In April, World Voice Day is celebrated around the globe. Språkstudion will arrange a lunch seminar on April 15 on the theme Wanted: A Swedish Voice to honour this day.
Learning Swedish is crucial for newly arrived persons in Sweden. Could and should the university take greater responsibility in the integration process by offering new forums for language learning? How? What can students do? Come discuss this at our lunch seminar.
Språkstudion will start off the event with a short presentation on voice and speech, with focus on embodying new languages and culture. Thereafter, student representatives from the Department of Political Science will present the newly started language cafe for asylum seekers. This will then be followed by an open discussion on informal language learning for newly arrived and asylum seekers.
All students and staff at Stockholm University interested in participating in the discussion are welcome. Sign up to info@sprakstudion.su.se before April 11. Bring your own lunch, coffee and tea will be served.
Welcome!
